Things feel so far away…

I know that most that stumble here must do just that…stumble. I know this is not a very high traffic place, but I cant help but make a post every so often to let people know that do cruise by…someone still cares about this website.

I intend on making more audio…some day. I just find myself with not that much inspiration as of late. I have a few ideas cooking, but I have been quite lazy in realizing anything concrete. I apologize…to myself for not completing these things.

The next few months should prove lucrative as I will have some free time…with my company being a 12 year old scotch.

New project in conception stages…

Yes, it is true. Some of you may be familiar with a project that I am in called The Nature of Light. I am also a member of Alceste, a dark ambient project of little fame. This however, will be something a bit different and all together more epic.

A close friend a colleague, whom I have known for many years is going to be helping create and make a structure for some new audio that (in my hopes) will be some of the more prolific work I will have created and been involved in to date.

Things have not gotten off the ground, as I have not dabbled in song writing for well over a year…maybe closer to two years now…and things may be a bit rusty…but I can assure you that the gears are moving…and I am excited to create again.

Quite honestly, this is all I can share at the moment, because that is all that has happened. The exciting part…is that we have discussed this musical endeavor before…and it came up again today and I wanted to share with all you fine folks.

I have been absent, and dont forsee too many people really visiting this place anymore. However…for sentimental reasons perhaps…I feel the need to update. I never really drove much traffic to this place…and think that in its solidarity, the current look is fitting. Distant and quiet. I have really turned into a hosting portal more than anything, and that too is fine…in my eyes, as long as its being used for something good.

I am not producing music like I used to…and sincerely would like that to change…I would love to see my creative engine rev…and recently more and more things have been making me want to. I have a project that I need to complete and put to rest…it feels close to done, but I know it is not.

I wanted to share this with you…that metafex is not dead…just quiet.

If anyone is near california, then you are aware of the ridiculously massive fire in the Angeles National Forest. My family has resided there for almost 40 years now.

We have run a restaurant and own some property up that way…and it has all been lost.

It has been confirmed, today…that the cafe is gone.

I have decided that Metafex will now be a wordpress based blog site. I have monkeyed with HTML for 8 years…never truly mastering it in any capacity. This way, I can at least update from work, home, friends house or any other way I can. Not that I have a whole lot to say these days, but I assume that because I still get a remarkable amount of traffic, that I should at least make it enjoyable. Next to that, I change my mind often and am fickle. This will allow me to indulge my whims and change themes often. Next to that, I can add widgets and plugins and have more diversity with expansion.
